Negaunee Twp,- Lois Jean Corradina, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the age of 68.

Lois was born July 23, 1946 in Negaunee to Oliver & Esther (Sillimpaa) Wainio. She graduated from Negaunee High School, class of 1964, attended business school in Milwaukee and graduated from NMU- School of Nursing. She worked in her nursing capacity at Bell Memorial Hospital. After marriage she choose to be a stay at home wife. After losing her husband in 2010 she re-entered the working class as a personal housekeeper until her passing.

Lois was a kind & wonderful sole who loved the simple things in life. Topping her favorite things were spending quality times with friends: coffee clutching, various crafting projects, weather watching, day trips in the UP, sometimes stopping to eat and visit gift shops, just driving her back yard country roads to enjoy the smells and sounds of nature. To catch a glimpse of a bear or bunny, a deer or butterfly- it was all so beautiful in her eyes. He dogs Cheyenne, Shilo, and Sasha, some of her friends pets that she adored were Zoe, Rusty, Harley, who she referred to as her baby buddy and last but not least Moses, who she cared for 5 days per week & 9 or more hours per day. Above all, she was very close with her Lord. She read her Bible & understood its teachings. Lois attended the Old Fashion Baptist Church in Ishpeming and truly enjoyed the teachings of Pastor Rob Kemp.

Lois leaves behind her sister Judy (Howard) Taskila of Ishpeming, sisters in law & brothers in law: Lillian (Frank) Andriacchi, Robert (Rita) Corradina, Doris Wainio, nephews: Terry Wainio, Peter (Debbie) Andriacchi, niece Cathy (Scott) Smith, great nephews: Lucas & Michael Wainio, along with a very close & loving cousin Ann Loiuse (William) Laundra along with other cousins special friends: JoAnn Marra and Jenny Valenti. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Esther Wainio, her huband John "Jan" Corradina, brother Michael Wainio, nephews Dominic Andriacchi and Michael Wainio.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Old Fashion Baptist Church 321 S. 4th St. Ishpeming with Pastor Rob Kemp officiating. Interment will take place at the Negaunee Cemetery.

A luncheon will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.
