Ishpeming Twp. – Lloyd Tasson, age 79, of 1400 North Lake Dr. passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at his home while in the loving care of his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Lloyd was born April 15, 1939 in Ishpeming the son of Dominic and Ina (Oysti) Tasson. He was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1957 where he played football for the Hematites. He married the late Myrtle "Mike" (Klippel) Tasson on June 11, 1960. Lloyd lived in Waukegan, IL for many years while working for Abbott Labs in North Chicago, IL retiring in 1994. He returned to this area in his retirement and resided here since.

Lloyd will be fondly remembered for his greeting "I'm Blessed". For thirty plus years he was involved in Prison Ministry both in IL and here at the Marquette Branch Prison. Lloyd was a member of the Temple Beth Shalom in Marquette along with the Marquette Choral Society.

Lloyd is survived by a son Joseph (Paula) Tasson and daughter Diane Tasson both of Ishpeming, brother Fabian (Barbara) Tasson of Ofallon, MO, 3 grandchildren – Jennifer, Kevin (Berenice) and Andrew (Stephanie) Tasson; 4 great grandchildren – Emiah, Knesly, Jonah, Bram.

Lloyd's family will greet relatives and friends from 5 – 7pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home to celebrate his life. A private interment has taken place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
