Negaunee, MI- Lloyd G. Jarvi, age 86 longtime Negaunee resident passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Lloyd was born in Negaunee, MI on August 17, 1936, a son of the late Leo M. and Dorothy H. (Penhale) Jarvi.

Lloyd served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Lloyd worked many jobs throughout his life, including working in the scrap-metal business for many years and was a truck driver for Tri-State Motor Transit Company of Missouri.

Lloyd and Grace enjoyed hunting and fishing together and he was talented in making his own fishing lures. He was a faithful member of the Calvary Church of Negaunee for 50 years.

Lloyd is survived by three children; Alice, L. "Marty" and Melanie, two sisters; Sandra (Jim) Luoma and Lois (Larry) Kallioinen, stepchildren; Donna Beck, David Beck, Debbie Beck, Pam (Rick) Kallioinen, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace, brother Paul Jarvi, daughter Kathy Heidtman, and stepson Don Beck.

Lloyd's family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00-4:00pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the Calvary Church of Negaunee where his memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, with Bishop E.R. Crider officiating.

Military Honors will be accorded by the U.P. Funeral Honors Team.

Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.
