Ishpeming – Lisa M. Annola, age 50, of 314 W. Canda St., Ishpeming passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at UP Health System Marquette.

Lisa was born November 6, 1965 in Hancock, MI and raised by her parents Emil and Tellervo (Vesterinen) Annola in Ishpeming.  Lisa loved cows and had to milk and feed many; for numerous summers she worked on her uncle's farm in Finland. In high school Lisa was active in track and field and was a U.P. Champion discus thrower.  She was a 1983 graduate of the Westwood High School and also a graduate of cosmetology school and received her associate degree from NMU as a LPN.  Lisa had worked at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming as a LPN.  She had lived in several areas of the country including Florida and Colorado.

Lisa was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church.  She loved music and was a huge Rod Stewart fan.  Lisa was a dedicated fan of the Denver Broncos.  She was very artistic and enjoyed to draw.

Survivors include her partner for the past 18 years Heather Pizziola of Ishpeming, sister Tina (Elie) of Montreal, Canada, niece Eva and nephews Derek, Tommy and Talan.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Honoring Lisa's request, cremation will take place.  A private graveside service will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery with the Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating, where Lisa will be laid to rest next to her mother and father.
