Ishpeming- Linda Sue Dishno, age 54, longtime area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 8, 2026 at her home.

Linda was born in Greenfield, OH on April 11, 1971, daughter of Geneva Walker and the late Dewey Smith. She married Robert Dishno on March 8th, 2003, they shared nearly 23 years of marriage together. Linda was a proud nurse in her younger years, offering several years of service to Marquette General Hospital until an automobile accident forced her out of the workforce, Linda loved being a nurse and always wanted to make sure people were okay.

Linda was a member of the Calvary Church in Negaunee. She enjoyed gardening, playing clarinet, singing, baking, and loved the UP.

Linda is survived by her husband: Robert Dishno, mother: Geneva Webb, son: J.D. Brawley, daughter: September Brawley, 3 granddaughters- Zoey, Annalise, and Lena, along with two brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Father: Dewey Smith.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held in the spring/summer and will be announced by the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home.
