Linda Rose (Gagliardi) Byers passed away on May 12, 2008 in Greenbelt, Maryland. She is survived by her children, Lauren Byers, Jon Byers and Kristen Byers, her father, Anthony "Gigs" Gagliardi, her sister, Mary Jo Murray, her sister Kathryn Gagliardi, her brother, Anthony J. Gagliardi, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Byers. Tragically, her mother, Joanne Gagliardi, passed away on the same day.

Ms. Byers was born on May 18, 1951 in Ishpeming, Michigan. She was a 1969 graduate of Ishpeming High School and attended both Northern Michigan University and the University of Maryland. She and her children made their home in Maryland. Her daughter Lauren is a graduate of Prince George's Community College with a degree in nursing, her son Jon has attended Prince George's Community College and is studying nursing, and her daughter Kristen is a freshman at Towson University.

A visitation is scheduled at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, Michigan from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Jo Murray (167 Research Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770) in trust for the Byers' children's college expenses.

A private family burial service will be scheduled at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
