Negaunee- Lillian A. Rowe, age 87, formerly of 105 W. Arch St. in Negaunee passed away, Monday, September 24, 2007 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee, MI.

Lillian was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Jarvinen) Pellonpaa. She was born May 31, 1920 in Ishpeming, MI. Lillian was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, class of 1938. Lillian worked as a bookkeeper for O.K. Auto and was a life long area resident and member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed kitting, crocheting, and playing cards especially cribbage.

Survivors include three children: Kathleen Carlson of Marquette, Charles (Cherie) Hellier of Richmond, WA, and Sharon (David) Watkins of Mebane, NC, a brother: Carl (Doris) Pellonpaa of Ishpeming, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Richard Rowe, a son Rev. Michael Hellier, a brother Reino Pellonpaa, and a sister Alice Young.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 10:00a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 at the Bethel Lutheran Church.

Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
