Diorite Loc. - Leslie W. "Hadacall" Waline, Jr., age 75 of 26369 Co Rd 496, Ely Twp, passed away at 7:00 AM, Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 at Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.

Leslie was born on September 23, 1934, in Republic the son of the late Leslie and Vienna (Wiiks) Waline. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was an active member of the American Legion, Lillian-Larson Post #114 where he was past commander and current chaplain. Leslie had worked for his father as a woods worker in the Republic area along with doing garbage collection and in the scrap metal business.

Survivors include his girlfriend Miriam "Micky" Pennala of Diorite Location, her children: Doug (Tammy) Pennala & Steven Pennala, a daughter Linda Bradburn of Arkansas, son Ricky Waline of Tennessee, sisters - Barbara (William) Welch of Vienna, IL and Charlotte Jackson of Gwinn, 3 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Ronald and Clarence Waline and a nephew Patrick Krueger.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00noon until 1:00pm on Saturday Dec. 5, 2009 at the American Legion Post #114 in Greenwood Location where a memorial service will be held at 1:00pm. Inurnment will take place at the Republic Cemetery.
