Ishpeming- Leslie J. Stephens, 42, of 1142 S. Pine St. Ishpeming passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 6th, 2009 at her home.

Leslie was born in Ishpeming, on December 27, 1966, the daughter of the late Francine (Collick) and Gregory Hill who survives her.

Leslie worked as a waitress at the Congress for many years. She raised horses and enjoyed every moment she could with her grandchildren.

Leslie is survived by two daughters, Nicole Field of Ishpeming, and Tiarra Stephens of Ishpeming, her grandchildren: Hunter Hanson, Nevaeh Hanson, Landen Nardi, Tyler Field and Ayden Field, her father Gregg Hill of Apache Junction, AZ, maternal grandmother Rose Collick of Ishpeming, her aunt and caregiver Sharleen Hill of Ishpeming, a half sister Jessica Hill of Flagstaff, AZ, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Leslie was preceded in death by her mother Francine, a grandson Brayden Nardi, paternal grandparents Edith & Levi Hill and maternal grandfather Robert Collick.

Funeral services will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home, at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 10th, with Pastor Lew Pizzala officiating.

The family will greet friends on Thursday at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00PM.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Langsford and Leonard Hanson.

A potluck luncheon will be held at the Ishpeming V.F.W. following the service.
