Obituary
Green Bay, WI – Leon L. Hallstead, age 73, former Ishpeming resident passed away on Sunday February 8, 2015 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Leon was born November 9, 1941 in Ishpeming to the late Kenneth and Lillian (Abbott) Hallstead. He had attended school in Ishpeming and worked as a laborer at the Marquette Adult Work Shop (SWAM) while living in this area. Leon moved to Green Bay in 2003 and had worked at the Adult Work Shop (ASPIRO) while there. Leon had been a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed time spent fishing.
Survivors include a sister Sheryle Coulter of Gwinn, a nephew Terrence (Debra) Gardiner of Green Bay and their children Shawn and Christina, a niece Lisa Carello of Gwinn and her children Nicole, Devin and Danny, a cousin Ray Leverton of Ishpeming, along with the Harris Family of Green Bay, WI.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Ishpeming Cemetery at which time Mr. Hallstead will be interred.
