Ely Twp, MI- Lee M. Bushong, age 65, of 690 Co. Rd. CDA Ishpeming passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at UP Health System Marquette.

Lee was born in Clare, Michigan on July 17, 1957, a son of the late Gloriana G. (Flaugher) and Earl "Scar" E. Bushong. Lee graduated Ishpeming High School, Class of 1976.

Lee worked forty plus years as a boilermaker as a member of Boilermakers Local 169.

Lee was all about the outdoors "Ma-Nature," enjoyed hunting, fishing, berry picking and had a secret spot for picking morel mushrooms. He was an avid gardener and will be missed by his beloved dog Terk.

Lee is survived by his wife Shirley (Nelson) Bushong, 3 daughters, Amy Paulson, Stacy (Nathan) Argall, and Michelle (Michael) Nardi, 4 step-daughters, Kathy Jo Nelson, Erica (Tom) West, Lori Peterson, and Amber Swank,19 Grandchildren: Jordan Paulson, Michael Paulson, Nathan (Faith) Argall, Luke Argall, Ashleigh and Amanda Argall, Landen, Wyatt, Reece and Brody Nardi, Jace Nelson and Jamee Ferris, Brooke, Sidney and Tyler West, Jordan, Brianne and Reilly Hiltunen, Grace Swank, 3 great grandchildren Tyler Argall, Carmen Argall and Gabriel Paulson; 3 sisters; Sandra Mead, Susan (Mike) Skewis, and Sheila (Al) Sullivan, 2 brothers; Lloyd (Diana) Bushong and Leslie Bushong, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and his mother in law Darlene Nelson.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents Earl "Scar" and Gloriana Bushong, a son in law; Michael Paulson, brothers in laws; Joe Hebert and Jim Mead, and nephews Mike Skewis, and Don Hebert.

A Celebration of Lee's life will be held at a later date.
