Ishpeming – Lawrence A. "Larry" Jandreau, age 71 of 690 Co. Rd. PRF, Ishpeming passed away on Saturday Dec. 11, 2010 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming. He had been residing at the Mather Nursing Center the past 3 months.


Larry was born Jan. 13, 1939 in Negaunee the son of the late William J. and Rose (Steede) Jandreau. Larry had worked for Northern Tire, Inc. first as a truck driven and then in the shop, retiring in 1999 following 20+ years with the company. He had served in the Michigan National Guard for several years. When he was able, Larry enjoyed his daily trip to Sherri's Restaurant in Ishpeming Twp. for coffee and camaraderie.


Survivors include a daughter – Krystal (Mark) Burns of Champion, a son – Larry Jandreau of Champion, brothers – Kenneth (Nancy) Jandreau of Ishpeming and Ray Jandreau of Pennsylvania, sisters – Judy (Randy) Emanuelson of National Mine and Rose (Dennis) Strickler of Pennsylvania, 2 grandchildren – Amber and Ashley Jandreau, 2 great grandchildren James and Joshua Jandreau, a special nephew William Jandreau of Ishpeming along with several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Jandreau in 1993.


A graveside inurnment service will take place in the spring at the Negaunee Cemetery.
