Ishpeming- Larry R. Wagner, age 69 of 100 Co. Rd. PCC (Tilden Twp) Ishpeming, passed away Friday September 11, 2015 at his home.
Larry was born June 5, 1946 in Marquette to Carl & Dagne (Manninen) Wagner. He attended the Marquette area schools. Larry had worked for Vollworths in Marquette and as a maintenance man. Larry was severely injured in an automobile accident in the 1970's and was unable to work after that. Larry however did enjoyed snow blowing and cutting grass for his neighbors in National Mine.
Larry was an avid knife collector; he enjoyed fishing and spending time walking in the woods. He was generous to paralyzed veterans and very patriotic. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0225 and the AMVETS #122. Larry also had a love for animals including his dogs Max, Heikkie, and Old Geezer and his cat Nugget.
Larry is survived by his significant other Sharon Lohrman, a sister Kay (Dan) Gregorich, a nephew Rick Berry, nieces Jodi (Brian) Pawlak and Nikki Gregorich, step children: Dawn Quinnell, Tim (Darla) Quinnell and Becky (Gino) Gerding, 8 grandchildren: Jeff, Jared, Ashley, Cheyenne, Mariah, Mackenzie, Macey and Gino Jr. 2 great grandchildren Abby and Addison, and special friend Brooke Cline. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Carl & Dagne Wagner, a brother Jack Wagner and a grandson Michael Quinnell.
A memorial gathering will be held at Tilden Twp. Hall from 2 – 4pm on Saturday, September 26, 2015 with a service to be held at 4:00pm with the Rev. David Johnson to officiate.
