Ishpeming – Kurt Noel Ericson, age 45, of 640 Maurice St. passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009 at his home in Ishpeming.

Kurt was born December 25, 1963 in Iron Mountain, MI to Kyle & Joan (Beckman) Ericson. He graduated from Negaunee High School, class of 1982 and received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Northern Michigan University in 1986. Kurt was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming. He enjoyed singing, was an avid musician, he played bass guitar in many local bands and most recently enjoyed karaoke. Kurt also enjoyed the outdoors: hunting, fishing and golfing.

Kurt is survived by his son Kyle Joanus Ericson of Ishpeming his parents Joan & Kyle Ericson of Negaunee, a brother Kevin (Karen) Ericson of Hancock, sisters Karin (Kevin) Stulz of Marquette and Kimberly (Gary) Brunswick of Marquette, nieces & nephews: Kaitlyn, Korey and Kenneth Ericson, Emily, & Connor Stulz and Celinda, Andrew and Isabella Brunswick, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kurt was preceded in death by his son Erick Ericson and grandparents Harold & Celia Beckman, Elmer & Ruth Ericson

Funeral Services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00AM with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:30AM until the time of services at the church. A luncheon will follow the services. Internment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
