Obituary
Ishpeming – Kristine M. Coughlin, age 54, of 776 E. Empire St. Ishpeming, passed away on Monday November 7, 2011 at Bell Hospital following a battle with lung disease.
Kristine was born June 5, 1957 in Marquette the daughter of Erika (Schneider) and the late John Coughlin. Kristine was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1975. Kristine briefly moved to Warner-Robbins, GA in the late 1970's. She returned home to Ishpeming, and had worked in the Dietary Dept. at Marquette General Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 2009 due to her health.
Kristine enjoyed traveling, a particularly loved Great America. She loved being with her family, especially her granddaughter Dominique. Kristine had been a member of the Jack's Tee-Pee Team in the Ishpeming Women's Pool League, and had played in the Ishpeming Ladies Cribbage League. She was always willing to go anywhere you could find a game of BINGO being played, or on a fun filled casino trip. The 4th of July and all of its festivities was her favorite time of year.
Kristine is survived by a daughter Melissa (David) Neuffer of Ishpeming, a granddaughter Dominique Neuffer of Ishpeming, her mother Erika Carello of Ishpeming, a sister Renee (Rodney) Aho of Harvey, 2 brothers – John (Jill) Coughlin of AZ and Mark (Kathy) Carello of Ishpeming, nieces and nephews – Tina, Desiree, Nicholas, Tory and Brandon, her "adopted" children Ryan Bergman of Appleton, WI, Robbie Sims of Appleton, WI, Heather Pizziola of Ishpeming, Sherrie Peller of Republic, a "special friend" Greg Ambrose of Chicago and her own "special family" the Mannila's. She was preceded in death by her father John Coughlin, her step-father Dominic Carello whom she affectionately called "Pa" and a step-brother John Carello.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 – 6pm on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming. Funeral services will follow at 6:00pm on Thursday at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Jarvis to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
