Republic – Kristin A. Adams, age 75, longtime Republic area resident passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Iron Co. Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls where she had resided since September of 2009. Kristin was born December 5, 1937 in Witch Lake, the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Blanta) Hackeman Sr. She was a graduate of the Republic High School. Kristin had worked for some years in Georgia as a caregiver prior to returning to Republic. Kristin enjoyed flower gardening in the summer months. Survivors include a son Glenn (Tina) Adams Jr. of Appleton, WI, 2 daughters – Arlene Moser of Auburn, IN and Myrtle Milner of Republic, 2 sisters – Janett (Roger) Wuokko of Republic and Deborah (Ernest) Ballard of North Charleston, SC, 7 grandchildren – Steven Lango, Nicole Lango, Glenn Adams, Andrea Moser, Cory Milner, Adam Milner and John Milner, 2 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Hackeman Jr. and a sister Jean Templeton. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm on Friday at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Andrew Kandoll to officiate. Inurnment will take place in the Republic Cemetery.
