Ishpeming- Kevin A. Tousignant age 53 of 213 S. 2nd St Ishpeming, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at his home in Ishpeming.

Kevin was born July 24, 1958 in Ishpeming to Karen (Garceau) and the late Albert Tousignant. He graduated from Ishpeming High, class of 1976 and worked for Marquette-Alger Intermediate School District as a transition aide, retiring in 2010.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with and working with special needs children. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, campfires, a Detroit Lions fan, music, watching tennis and spending time with family and friends. He went on many outings and road trips with his students, he also volunteered with the Special Olympics. His quick wit and sense of humor always put a smile on the faces of people around him, he always had the knack of making people laugh in any situation.

Kevin is survived by his mother Karen Tousignant of Ishpeming, sisters: Audrey Hallum of Ishpeming, Sandra Healey of Wyoming, MI, and Julee (Mike) Hammond of Corona, CA, and a brother David (Adrienne) Tousignant of Ishpeming, nieces Jaimee, Jenny, Emily, Elyssa, Eryn, Cara, Hattie, Hannah, Mikayla and Madison, nephews: Jedd, Danny, Mitchel, great nieces and great nephews Orion, Morgan, Jaxson, Addelyn, Reese, Ryan and Henry. He also has many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Tousignant.
