Republic- Kerrie Sue Shepherd, age 26 of 7634 Oak Dr. Republic, passed away Monday, August 09, 2010 at the Marquette General Hospital following a year long illness.
Kerrie was born March 5, 1984 in Ishpeming to Wayne & Peggy (Heliste) Shepherd. Kerrie graduated in 2002 from Republic-Michigamme High School where she played basketball. Kerrie enjoyed camping and scrapbooking.
Kerrie is survived by her daughter Keira Senske, her parents Peggy & Wayne "Tex" Shepherd of Republic, a sister Kathryn (Michael) Skavery of Clinton Twp, MI, maternal grandmother Elaine Heliste of Republic along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kerrie was preceded in death by her special friend BJ Senske, maternal grandfather Norman Heliste and paternal grandparents Harold & Cecelia Shepherd.
Funeral services for Kerrie will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic with Rev. Katherine Finegan officiating. Family and friends may call at Bethany Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10:30am until the time of service at noon.
