Ishpeming- Kenneth J. Seablom, age 71, lifelong Ishpeming resident, passed away on Monday August 16, 2021 at UP Health System Marquette.

Ken was born in Marquette on April 24, 1950 son of the late Robert and Isabelle (Pizziola) Seablom. He graduated from Ishpeming High School before going on to obtain a Certificate in Banking from Northern Michigan University.

Ken was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church in Ishpeming, the Ishpeming Lions club, the Vasa Club, and the Vista Theater Group. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at his camp, as well as hunting and fishing. Ken was a talented watercolor artist. He enjoyed baking many different types of breads, and loved to cook, however he did not like to clean up! Ken enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and PBS where he frequently donated. He loved hosting parties especially Halloween where he always had incredible costumes, and New Year's Eve where he would ring in the new year with homemade pizzas and sledding on the hill at midnight. He enjoyed making 4th of July floats for Pen bank, and enjoyed his rum and pepsi.

Ken is survived by 3 children- Thomas (Sonya) Seablom, Karen (Nick) Vivian, Emily (Brian) Kloack, 4 siblings- Robert Seablom Jr., David (Detta) Seablom, Gordon (Maria) Seablom, Linda Niemi, 9 grandchildren- Thomas, Jr., Evynn, Grant, Koltan, Landon, Catherine, Henry James, Charles, Samuel, his very special friend- Jimmer Cote, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and twin brother Earl Seablom.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and physicians at UP Health System Marquette for the gracious comfort and care they provided.

Ken's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday August 20 ^th , 2021 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home from 3:30pm until 5:30pm. A memorial service will follow at 5:30pm with Fr. Ryan Ford officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
