Republic - Keith E. Bowler, age 70, of 6247 Hickory Dr. Republic, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home in Republic following an apparent heart attack.

Keith was born in Manistique on March 18, 1951, son of the late Mary (Clark) and Eugene Bowler. He moved to Lower Michigan in his youth and was a graduate of the Ypsilanti High School.  He was a retired long haul truck driver, a job which let his see the entire United States.  For the past 13 years he had resided in Republic and prior to that lived in Newberry. Keith enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, but his main love was his family.  Many hours were also spent playing games on his computer, especially solitaire.

Survivors include his wife Dottie (Craft) Bowler of Republic whom he married on Jan 1, 1972; daughter Shellie (Beaner) Gransinger of Republic; son Ed (Traci) Bowler of Coshocton, OH; honorary daughter Sherri Willhauck of Ohio; three sisters - Jean (Cecil) Taylor of Florida, Jayne (Rob) Morgan of Ypsilanti, Kathleen Matts, of Texas; three brothers - Gary (Pam) Bowler of Florida, David (Tammy) Bowler and Richard (Carolyn) Bowler both of Indiana; sister-in-law Cheryl Bowler of Ypsilanti; grandchildren - Joseph Bowler, Michaela Cummings, Molly Gransinger, Shaylee Gransinger, Keilee Gransinger, Kreegan Gransinger; great grandson Alex Cummings; foster son Bill Pomranky, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dwight Bowler.

Per Keith's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services.
