Ishpeming – Katie Lynn Paquette, age 32, of 132 Superior St., Ishpeming passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor where she had been air lifted on Monday, May 25. Katie had a brief stay at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming due to heart complications.

Katie was born April 29, 1983 in Ishpeming the daughter of Kim (Gronvall) and the late Ray Paquette and was a lifelong Ishpeming resident. Katie will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her smile that could light up a room She cherished every moment with her children. Katie enjoyed doing hair and make-up. She loved dressing up in her own unique style of fashion. She was dancing from the moment she began to walk, and singing from the moment she began to talk. She always spoke of her time growing up with her cousins around the campfire, as well as dances and birthday parties with her friends. Her spunky personality will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her mother Kim Paquette and her boyfriend A.J. Tousignant of Ishpeming, her significant other Mark Soderberg of Marquette, 5 children – Makayla, Michael, Christopher, Lily and Carter, a brother Michael Paquette of Ishpeming, a foster sister Lisa, grandparents - Frank & Marcia Gronvall of Ishpeming, Patricia Paquette of Negaunee and Bonnie & David Miller of California, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Ray Paquette and grandfather Robert Paquette.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 3rd, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Ishpeming Cemetery, with a luncheon at Al Quaal Lodge to follow.
