Ishpeming Twp- Kathleen M. Potila, age 75 of 1755 S. Rose St. Ishpeming passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at her home while in the loving care of her family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

Kathleen was born April 18, 1942 in Ishpeming to William J. and Clarice M. (MacNeil) Thomas. She graduated from National Mine High School. Kathy worked as a retail clerk for Gert's IGA and Jim's IGA. More recently she enjoyed working at Getz's in Marquette.

Kathy was a member of Wawonowin Country Club where she enjoyed golfing and socializing with friends. She also enjoyed spending time at Helen Lake and hanging out with her grandchildren and watching them in their various activities. In her free time, Kathy enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Kathy is survived by her husband Norman, whom she married on November 21, 1964, 2 daughters: Vikki (Don) Kulju of Ishpeming and Tracy (Michael) Lee of DeWitt, MI, a sister Linda (Leonard) Rose of Tooele, UT, 4 grandchildren: Taylor and Ty Kulju, Henry and Jordan Lee, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Potila of Ishpeming and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sherrill Zumwalt and special cousins: David and Lance Mannikko.

Kathleen's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Ishpeming where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Graybill  to officiate.
