Ishpeming – Katherine A. Gaboury, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Up Health System Marquette following complications from a recent surgery.

Katherine was born in Marquette on April 26, 1947, daughter of the late Carmen (Jenkins) and Edward Ecklid. She grew up in Negaunee and was a graduate of the Negaunee High School, Class of 1966. Katherine was a devoted homemaker.  She enjoyed numerous coffee clutches, her flower gardens around her house and was active in her children's and grandchildren's lives.

Survivors include two daughters, Kerrie (Donald) Cram and Brenda M. (Keith) Johnson bothof Ishpeming; two sons, Dean (Christy) Gaboury of Ishpeming and Troy (Mara) McKinley of Frankfort; a sister Diane (Steve) Murray of Gladstone; a brother Michael (Sandy) Ecklid of Negaunee; grandchildren - Chad (Jessica) Cram, Travis (Robbin Elvetici) Cram, Casey and Elijah McKinley and Mackenzie Pacheco, Seth and Cullen Gaboury; Darren, Alissa, Grace and Audrey Johnson, great grandchildren – Jayden, Owen, Raelynn and Wade Cram and Tori Elvetici, Kayden Elvetici-Knotek, and Bentley Mays, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Gaboury in 2002 and a sister Donna Rogers.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12:00pm with Rev. Fr. Ryan Ford to officiate.  Entombment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
