Michigamme - Karen Ruth Warren, age 83, a longtime Spurr Twp. resident, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at UP Health System Bell.

Karen was born March 23, 1938 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to the late Merton and Sylvia (Walker) Crass. She attended and graduated from the Sturgeon Bay schools.She opened her heart and home to many, being a mom to so many of the kids who came into our lives. She did things her way, in Gods name with love

Karen was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Champion. In her free time she enjoyed painting, horses, gardening, card and dice games, and spending time with her grand and great grand children.

Karen is survived by her children, Shirley (Robert) Inman of Hales Corners, WI, Pamela (Edmond) Verville of Kalamazoo, Theresa (Thomas) Prisk of Michigamme, Linda (Radu) Costin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Randall Piechocki of St. Petersburg, FL, Edward (Brandi) Warren of Cascade, siblings, Roger Crass, Phillip (Deborah) Crass, Suzanne (James) Shaw, James (Christine) Crass, Dale (Susan) Crass, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edward in September of 2018, and her siblings Shirley Miller and Charles Crass.

A memorial service will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Champion on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Paul Peterson Officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 10:00 AM.
