Ishpeming, MI - Karen G. Murr, age 83, passed away on Saturday, November 10th, at her home in Ishpeming Twp.

Karen was born in Ishpeming, MI, the daughter of the late Martha and William Buffey. She moved with her family to Milwaukee, WI as a young girl and graduated from Washington High School. Karen was married to the late Ronald Murr and together they raised their family of three children in Mequon, WI and Houston, TX. Karen worked as a Realtor and her professional relationships always quickly turned into much cherished friendships.

Karen loved traveling around the world and experiencing new people and places. She delighted in her home and enjoyed tending to her gardens. An avid reader, her read-book list was staggering. Dear to her heart were animals of all kinds, especially her dogs and her deer.

Karen is survived by her dear companion Jerry Harju of Marquette, beloved children include her two daughters, Kara (David Smith) Livingston, of Orlinda, TN and Lisa (Steven Gladstone) Chapman, of Nashville, TN and her son, Edward Murr, of Nashville, TN along with her granddaughter Jourdan Murr of Nashville, TN.

The family will greet relatives and friends to celebrate Karen's life from 2:00 - 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 17th at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming.
