Ishpeming- Karen Dee King, age 64, of 1790 Glendora Ln., Ishpeming, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Mather Nursing Center at 12:40a.m. where she had been a resident for nearly a month.
Karen was born on January 22, 1943 in Stambaugh, Michigan to the late Clyde and Caroline (Finnegan) Berlin. She attended Iron River High School and married Owen King on June 18, 1960. They moved to Ishpeming in 1973 from Iron River. In her younger years, Karen enjoyed bowling. Karen was a homemaker and a wonder mother who will be missed by all who knew her. She loved her flower garden and also eating out at local restaurants. Karen enjoyed Christmas and especially viewing the lights in the front yard and on the trees.
Karen is survived by her husband of 47 years, Owen King of Ishpeming, a son Daniel King of Houston TX, sisters: Ruth Cleves of Iron River, MI and Beulaha Ingram of Alvin, WI, and nephews: Brian and Todd Ingram and Gary Cleves. Karen is preceded in death by a bother Larry Berlin.
Cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time.
