Ishpeming, MI- Kacey Ann Bertucci, age 48 of 60505 County Road 581, Ishpeming, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at her home from an apparent heart attack.

Kacey was born in Ishpeming, MI, on September 28, 1974, the daughter of Michael and Peggy (Clark) Bertucci. Kacey graduated from Westwood High School Class of 1992. She worked for the Michigan Secretary of State for several years.

It goes without saying Kacey was one of a kind. If you had ever met her it's unlikely you would forget. With a smart, witty, and snarky personality she could hold an audience. Her unique cackle could fill a room and it was fun to be around her.

Kacey was a fierce defender of her family and friends. In a pinch you were thankful Kacey was with you. It goes without saying you wanted to be on her good side.

She was a firm believer in fairness and love for all. She was open and welcoming to everyone. She felt strongly about women's rights and equality for all. She stood up for what she believed every day.

Kacey loved hard, and her four children were her reason to live. This love pulled her out of the darkest days of her life. Her love went to the moon and back and they all knew it.

In recent years Kacey was able to overcome overwhelming struggles that most people are unable to battle successfully. She came out of this time with a new sense of purpose and with the birth of her grandchildren embraced life again. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Kacey is survived by four children; Mandi (Kenneth) Kinnunen, Joseph (Stina Jackson) Grasso, Ellie Miller, Tristan Miller, two grandchildren; Olivia and Jackson Kinnunen, her parents, Mike and Peggy Bertucci, a sister Kristie (Allan) Patron, niece Karlie Patron, nephew Jayce Patron plus numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kacey was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Rosemary Clark and paternal grandparents, Dominic and Patricia Bertucci.

Per Kacey's wished, cremation will take place with no public service.

A Celebration of Life for Kacey will take place at a later date.
