Ishpeming - On June 29, 2016, after fifty seven years of marriage, June G. Menard died in the arms of her devoted husband Bob. Gathered around them was the majority of their immediate and loving family and Hospice staff. June went home to God after a five year, courageous and valiant battle with a devastating variation of Parkinsons Disease.

June was born June Georgia Hart in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on June 5, 1939. She met Robert S. Menard in the Sault where they married on February 7, 1959. Together they worked to create a loving environment to raise their three children, Robin Kaye (John) Cooke, Daniel Edward (Janice) Menard and Margie Anne (David) O'Keefe. June and Bob were blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren, Jessica (Hendrickson) Korona, Johnny Cooke, Anthony Menard, Dillon Menard, Cassie O'Keefe, Katelynn O'Keefe, Kevin O'Keefe and two great grandchildren, Alexander Spratling and Keegan Korona. She has several nieces and nephews. Her children and their children brought such great joy to her life.

June graduated from Northern Michigan University and went on to become a registered medical laboratory technician. She retired from F. A. Bell Memorial Hospital in that capacity in 2000, after twenty years of service. Until her disease made travel very difficult, she and Bob spent their winters in Leesburg, Florida where they own a second home.

June is survived by two sisters, Vida (Charles) Tesch and Cecilia Fleming. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Edna Hart, Bob's parents Nap and Juliette Menard, brother-in-law Phil Fleming and loving grandson Dillon Menard.
There will be no public funeral service.
