Obituary

Ishpeming – June B. Johnson, age 89, of 1011 Co. Rd. 496 S.E., Greenwood Location, passed away on Friday March 16, 2007 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming. She had been in ill health for the past nine years.
June was born April 18, 1917 in Champion, the daughter of George and Leona (Dishno) Burnette. She was a graduate of the Champion High School, Class of 1935 and was a lifelong area resident. June had worked at the 41 Club and then at the Mather Inn in Ishpeming for eight years as a waitress and bartender.
June was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Women's Business Association, the Daughters of Isabella, and the Ladies of the Moose. She had many interests of which some were cards, with cribbage and smear as favorites, bowling, knitting, reading, cooking, and especially gardening, but being a Mother beat them all as family always came first in her life.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married on August 18, 1961 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, Donald G. Johnson of Greenwood Location; 4 children – Roland (Carla) Revello of Vulcan; Marilyn (Charles) DeLongchamp of Ishpeming; David Revello and his fiancee' Patricia Tanghe of Negaunee; and Mary Kaye (Wade) Grady of Ishpeming; a sister Marie Jacobetti of Negaunee; 8 grandchildren – Michael (Beth) Revello, Ronald (Donna) Revello, Kathryn Collins and her husband Bill Lingston, Steven Collins, Julia Collins and her husband Steve Hylkema, Deborah Carter, Lisa Revello and Shay Grady; 11 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Revello in 1960, a sister Beatrice Duhame and a brother Leslie Burnette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday March 19, 2007 with the Rev. Fr. James Challancin to officiate. Entombment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens in Negaunee Twp.
Friends may call at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming from 9:00am until 11:00am on Monday March 19, 2007.
