Ishpeming, MI- June T. Forsberg, age 93, longtime Ishpeming resident passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family, the staff at MCMCF, and U.P. Home Health and Hospice.
June was born in Mason Town, PA on June 2, 1926, a daughter of the late Eva (Lequia) and Anthony Gervae. She graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1944.
June was affectionately known as "June Bug" to her family and close friends. She always put her family first, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and they loved her back. They spent many winters in St. Pete's Beach, Florida meeting many new friends over the years.
June is survived by 3 children: Marcia (Michael) Ruhanen of Reese, MI, Lynn Healey of Ishpeming and Jeff (Peggy) Forsberg of Green Bay, a brother James Gervae of Gwinn, 7 grandchildren: Ryan Healey, Jamie (Ed) Pichette, Nicole (Nick) Rethman, Marcy (Doug) Coe, Brad (Katie) Ruhanen, Brady (Angela) Forsberg, and Brittany(fiancé Kyle Cumber) Forsberg, 5 great grandchildren: Cole and Brynn Pichette, Jaidyn & Brooklyn Rethman, Kinsley Coe, along with several nieces and nephews, also a sister-in-law and brother-in-law (Karen and Steve Pietro) and sister-in-law (Barbara Forsberg). She will also be missed by her great grand dogs, Golden Retriever (Daisy) and Corgi's (Saber and Nora).
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Burton, 2 brothers: Norman and Walter Gervae, and a sister Avila Moquin.
Honoring June's wishes, private services were held. Burial took place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
June was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming where memorial considerations may be direct to in her memory.
