Ishpeming- June Dobson, age 88, of 815 S. Pine St. Ishpeming, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at her son's home in Medina, Ohio.
June was born July 29, 1923 in Ishpeming to Iver & Bessie (Traise) Asgaard. June worked as a nurse's aide at Acocks Medical Care Facility. She was a member of Salisbury United Methodist Church. June enjoyed knitting and reading and time spent with her family.
June is survived by two sons: Norman (Grace) Dobson of Medina, OH and David Dobson of Munising, 2 sisters Shirley Pizziola and Bernice Dymond both of Ishpeming, 4 grandchildren: Steven Todd (Sally) Dobson of Union, SC, Ronald (Christine) Dobson of Bradenton, FL, Nicholas Lee Dobson of Medina, OH, Jeffrey Matthew Dobson of Logan, OH, 9 great grandchildren: Seth, Lucille, Claire, Lee, Quinn, Matthew, Emma, Triston and Maximus along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. June was preceded in death by her parents Iver and Bessie, husband Matthew, 2 brothers Iver and Robert Asgaard and 3 sisters Lorraine Annala, Marie Dobson and Florence Aho.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Salisbury United Methodist Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Terri Branstom officiating.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Salisbury United Methodist Church on Saturday Oct. 8, 2011 from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of ones choice in memory of June Dobson.
