Republic- Julie M. Voegtline, age 52 of 11607 Park City Rd. Republic, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Marquette General Hospital surrounded by her family where she been a patient for the past 2 weeks and been in declining health for the past 6 years.

Julie was born February 27, 1960 in Ishpeming to Charles Raymond & Dolores (Kwetkoski) Mattson. Julie graduated from Republic-Michigamme High School, class of 1978 and attended Northern Michigan University. Julie worked as an administrative assistant to Jack and Paula Marshall of Marshall Architects in Hesperia, CA and also as a credit investigator for Green Tree Loan Company in Rapid City, SD.

Julie enjoyed cooking, fishing and eating the fish she would catch. She loved being a homemaker for Carl and taking rides with him in the woods. Julie loved her son Lance and her Siamese cat Neko.

Julie is survived by her son Lance Charles Voegtline currently serving in the USAF stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, her parents of Republic, a brother Ray (Brenda) Mattson of Republic, fiancé Carl Voegtline Jr. of Republic, aunts & uncles: Rachael (Pete) Kuzma of Republic, Robert (Mary Ann Saless) Mattson of Republic, Arlene (Ben) Suomi of Republic, nieces and nephews: Danielle (Tyler) Taseris of Negaunee, Chelsea & Dylan Mattson of Republic, cousins: Bonnie (Scott) Maki & family of Blissfield, MI, Brian Suomi & his son Brian and family, Amanda (Randy) Swartz of Republic, Lori (Scott) Gauthier & family of DePere, WI, Rochelle (Aaron) Wixtrom and family of Republic, Peter Kuzma of Ohio and Lilli (Jim) Schwantes of New Berlin, WI. Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert & Grace Kwetkoski and Jalmer & Sylvia Mattson, an aunt Karenna Mattson and a cousin Benjamin Suomi Jr.

A private family memorial service was held.

Memorial considerations may be directed to the Republic United Methodist Church in memory of Julie.
