Ewen, MI – Julia M. Koski, age 63, of 769 W. Maple St. Apt #1, Ewen, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at The Lighthouse at Ishpeming Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was in the loving care of her family, staff members and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice at the time of her death.

Julia was born September 3, 1953 at home in Ewen the daughter of John A and Leah J (Mikkola) Koski.  Julia grew up in Ewen and was a graduate of the Ewen - Trout Creek High School Class of 1972.  She worked as a waitress for area restaurants and also as a housekeeper for local motels and at the LVD Watersmeet Casino. Julia enjoyed spending time at camp, watching the wildlife and going for walks.

Survivors include her son Nathan (Celia) Koski of Athens, AL, brothers and sisters – John (Gail) Koski of Marquette, Sylvia Yunker of Ishpeming, Mary (Jim) Haapapuro of Ishpeming and twin-brother Paul Koski of Ewen, granddaughter Crystal Koski, 3 step-grandchildren, special friend Jim Settledge of Ewen, along with nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will take place at a later date at the Ewen Cemetery.
