Ishpeming - Judy A. Steede, age 71, longtime Ishpeming and National Mine resident, passed away on Sunday November 1, 2020 at UP Health System Bell where she had been a patient for the past week.

Judy was born on March 31, 1949 in Ishpeming, daughter of the late Melvin Roberts and Violet Ruohomaki, and grew up in National Mine. She attended the National Mine School, graduating with the class of 1967. Judy worked as a cook and waitress at many local restaurants including the Hoist West, Sherrie's, Braastad's and the 41 Steakhouse, as well as clerking at the Zephyr mini mart in Ishpeming. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Judy enjoyed many hobbies including jig-saw puzzles, doing word search books, and making cross-stitch pictures.

Survivors include her daughter Tina L. Anderson of Ishpeming; son Jeff Steede of Ishpeming; granddaughter Alyssa Anderson of Ishpeming; sister in laws - Lisa Roberts and Ellen Roberts, along with nieces and nephews - Ralph (Amber) Roberts, Jim Roberts, Beth (Peter) Martell, Jennifer (Joe) Ceislinski, and great nieces / great nephews - Ethan, Brandt, Isabella, Olivia, Blake, Ansley, Hannah and Caden.  She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father John Lupton; brothers - Larry Roberts, Ken Roberts; sister Carol Roberts; along with numerous aunts and uncles.

Following Judy's wishes, cremation took place. Graveside services will held at the Ishpeming Cemetery at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 with Pastor Lauri to officiate. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, please adhere to the wearing of a mask ad the current social distancing standards.
