Ishpeming- Joyce A. Niemi, age 73, lifelong Ishpeming area resident, passed away on Monday February 14, 2022 at her home.

Joyce was born in Negaunee on June 29, 1948, daughter of the late Eino and Mayme (Luoma) Koski. She attended Champion High School graduating with the class of 1967.

Joyce loved going for walks, having a good cup of coffee, taking saunas, and was known to tell a good story or two.

Joyce is survived by 2 siblings- Diana (Dennis) Johnson, Peter (Bonnie) Koski, 5 nieces and nephews- Derek (Janine) Johnson, Shelly (Evan) Janson, Brian Johnson, Bethany (James) Prusi, John (Melissa) Koski. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister- Carol, and sister- Donna Nelson.

Following Joyce's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services. Interment will take place in the Humboldt Cemetery at a later date.
