Obituary

Republic- Joyce A. Jenkot, age 72 of 577 Magnetic Ave, Republic, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Joyce was born the daughter of the late Henry and Aileen (Mustamaa) Aho on June 18, 1936 in Ishpeming. She graduated from Republic High School and after graduation moved to Milwaukee. Joyce worked for General Electric, and later Universal International.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid Packer fan. She loved shopping, watching game shows and reading. In 1959, Joyce appeared in the court scene in John D. Voelker's "Anatomy of a Murder". Joyce was a generous, caring person who was unselfish and a wonderful homemaker. She was also an excellent cook.

Survivors include Joyce's husband James Jenkot, children: Daniel Jenkot of Marquette, Denita (Michael) Frantti of Gwinn, brothers: Donald (Melba) Aho of Republic, Dennis Aho of Republic, sister: Myrna (John) Todd of Republic, beloved grandson Kyle Frantti along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by a brother Duane Aho.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic with Rev. Katherine Finegan officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service. Interment will take place at the Republic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Frantti, Kyle Frantti, Daniel Jenkot, Donald Aho, Dennis Aho, and John Todd.
