Ishpeming - Joseph E. Nault, age 64, of 885 N. Westwood Dr.  Ishpeming, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident in Ely Twp.

Joseph was born in Ishpeming, on October 18, 1956, a son of Norma (Nelson) Belmore and the late Bernard Nault Sr., who had passed away prior to Joseph's birth.  Joe was raised by his mother Norma and the only father he knew James Belmore.  He was a graduate of the Westwood High School, Class of 1975.  Joe spent his working career at the Empire Mine with Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. as a loader operator in the pit, retiring after 33 years with the company in 2014.  Joe especially enjoyed time spent at camp, along with ATV rides, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a son, Eric S. Nault of Ishpeming; parents Norma and James Belmore of Marquette; two sisters, Ann (David) Jarvi of Ishpeming; Jill Belmore of Marquette; brother, Steven Nault of Waupun, WI; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Bernard Nault Jr.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 – 3:00pm on Tuesday July 20, 2021, at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM with Fr. Ryan Ford officiating.
