Hilo, Hawaii – Jon P. Gizewski, age 44 of 1280 Kilauea, Hilo, HA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday Dec. 8, 2010 in Hilo, HA.
Jon was born March 15, 1966 in Oaklawn, IL the son of Donna (Steuerwald) and Stanley J. Gizewski. He grew up in Illinois and was a graduate of Oaklawn Community High School. Jon had spent the past 4 years residing in Hawaii, enjoying the simple things in life especially playing his guitar and listening to music.
Survivors include his mother – Donna Day of Ishpeming, his father Stanley Gizewski of Orland Park, IL, a sister Lori (Tom) Farkash of Gainesville, FL, Mark (Mary) Gizewski of Sarasota, FL, and Greg (Barbara) Gizewski of Ithaca, NY, a step-brother John Day, step-sister Julie (Chad) Schmidt, half-sisters Nicole (Clark) Naroleski.
Cremation has taken place in Hawaii and a celebration of Jon's life will be held at a later date in the Chicago area.
