Ishpeming, MI – John A Nardi, age 92, longtime Ishpeming resident passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Trillium House in Marquette.

John was born the son of Vito and Mary (Leone) Nardi on July 18, 1929, in Ishpeming. As a teenager he served in the United States Army stationed in Japan following World War II. He worked at Bell Hospital as Head Orderly for nearly 40 years. John was united in marriage to Doris Roberts on February 25, 1977.

He loved Ishpeming, the Hematites, and his family most of all. He enjoyed helping on family projects, taking walks with his Lion's jacket, going for rides with Doris and all the seasons of the UP.

He is survived by six children – John C. (Lynn) Nardi of Negaunee, Christine Ring of Ishpeming, Bob (Robyn) Nardi of Ishpeming, Cindy (Paul) Heino of Ishpeming, Michael (Diane) Nardi of Ishpeming and Louis (Chris) Nardi of Marquette, 4 stepchildren - Janet Adamini of Ishpeming, Lee Roberts of Negaunee, Linda Roberts of Ishpeming and James Roberts of Detroit; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Phil (Audrey) Nardi of Marquette, sister Rose (Mike) Victor of Florida, sister in law Marilyn Nardi of Ishpeming, former wife and mother of  his children Laverne Holmgren LeClair, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris, brothers Frank, Sam, and Tony Nardi, sisters Fran Woods, Angela Dye and Janet Hayek, stepchildren Gerald and Michael Roberts, great grandchild, Brayden Nardi, and son in law, Stuart Ring.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 12:00 noon with Father Larry Van Damme officiate.
