Negaunee- John C. Molise, age 68 of 309 E. Main St. Negaunee, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at his home under the loving care of his family after struggling with ALS (Lou Gehrig's).
John was born February 23, 1940 in Hancock, MI to Carl & Gertrude (Cuff) Molise. John served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He worked in Wausau, Wisconsin at Engineered Curtain Wall and Wausau Metal, prior to working for Upper Peninsula Power Company for 30 years where he retired from as a lead lineman. John enjoyed spending time at his camp on the Dead River Basin and taking pontoon boat rides. You could always find him and Jill enjoying breakfast with close friends at local resturaunts. In earlier years he spent his spare time deer hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling and restoring cars. Throughout the years he had 75 vehicles in all. John and his wife Jill just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
John is survived by his wife Jill (Dupuis) Molise, 4 children: Jodi (Steve) Peterson of Champion, Janice (Greg) Kantola of Negaunee, Jarrod (Marie) Molise of Marquette and Jacklyn Molise & Scott of Negaunee, 8 grandchildren: Stephen Jackson & fiancée' Chelsea of Leesburg, FL, Kenny Peterson of Juneau, Alaska, Eric Peterson, Zachary Kantola, Olivia Kantola, Sarah LaJoie, Melissa LaJoie and John Molise, a sister Patricia (Jim) Hoke of Hancock, 2 brothers Tom Molise of Hancock and Eddie (Sue) Molise of Exland, WI, along with numerous nieces & nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents Carl & Gertrude and his in laws Clarence & Melba Dupuis.
As per John's request, there will not be a public viewing or service. Interment will take place at the Negaunee Cemetery.
