Ishpeming- John E. Keto age 73 Ishpeming resident passed away Monday March 26, 2018 at his home while in the loving care of his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

John was born March 29, 1944 in Ishpeming to Walter A. and Lydia S. (Mannikko) Keto. He graduated from National Mine High School, class of 1962. John served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, being honorably discharged in 1967.

John worked as a civilian at the K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, as a refrigeration/air conditioning technician for 32 ½ years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Ishpeming ELKS Lodge #447, Negaunee Eagles #1944, and the Ishpeming AMVETS Post 122. John played cribbage in the Ishpeming and Negaunee cribbage leagues, Ishpeming pool league and belonged to the Ishpeming Horseshoe League for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. In more recent years he enjoyed camping, road trip with friends and 4-wheeler rides.

John is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Sarvello) Keto, a daughter Kim (Duane) Lukkari and their children Lisa Lukkari and Tyler Lukkari of Ottawa, IL, a sister Marlene (Claude) Kautz, 3 brothers: Ralph (Marie) Keto, Gene (Cathy) Keto and David (Brenda) Keto all of Ishpeming along with nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Helsten.

John's family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00-3:00pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home with a time to share memories at 3:00 pm.

Military honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #380.

A pot luck luncheon will follow the service at the Negaunee Eagles.
