Obituary
Ishpeming – John A. "Sootie" Zardus, age 50, longtime resident of 360 W. Johnson St., Ishpeming passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp. Where he had resided for the past 5 months.
John was born August 19, 1965 in Detroit, MI to the late John and Sally "Weezy" Zardus and moved to Ishpeming with his parents as an infant. Sootie had worked as a laborer in construction for several years. Sootie always enjoyed the outdoors, which included 4-wheeling, camping and fishing, but in recent years had become a proud Pa-pa and loved to watch his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son John Zardus, a daughter Angela (Jeremy) Hibbard of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren – Easton, Hailey and Jayce, along with special friends Becky Hill, Dean Aho and Candy Wernholm.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 until 6pm on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where all are encouraged to share a memory of "Sootie".
