Republic Twp.- Jodi Lynn Mattila, age 51, Republic resident passed away Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at her residence.

Jodi was born in Iron Mountain, MI on March 15, 1968, a daughter of Faye Ann (Kerkela) and Charles William Mattila, of Republic, MI.

Jodi graduated from Republic High School, class of 1986. She enjoyed crafts: painting, drawings and stitch work.  Jodi was baptized and confirmed at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic.

Jodi is survived by her parents Faye Ann and Charles "Choker" Mattila of Republic, a brother Scott (Julia) Mattila of Green Bay, WI, and 2 sisters: Dawn (Ken Seppanen) Durant, of Republic, and Amy Mattila-Zwicky, of Green Bay, nieces and nephews;  James Mattila, Jeanna Mattila, Jesse (Kayla) Durant, Jade Zwicky, Alex Zwicky, and Elias Zwicky, a great niece Zoey Durant,  an uncle Robert Mattila, 2 aunts, LaVerne Noasconi, and Kathy Kerkela along with several cousins.  Jodi was preceded in death by aunts: Chris Mattila and Alice Korpi and uncles: Jim Noasconi, Ernie Kerkela and Irvin Korpi.

Jodi's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Thomas Wickstrom officiating.

A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
