Saint Pete Beach, FL-Joanne Gagliardi passed away peacefully with her family at her side on May 12, 2008 in Saint Pete Beach, Florida. She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Anthony "Gigs" Gagliardi, her daughters, Mary Jo Murray and Kathryn Gagliardi, her son, Anthony J. Gagliardi, thirteen grandchildren (Christopher Murray, Michael Murray, John Murray, Michael Kitto, Joanna Kitto Ambroziak, Margaret (Lind) Davis, Kathryn Lind, Carissa (Gagliardi) Alonso, Anthony J. D. Gagliardi, Lauren Byers, Jon Byers and Kristen Byers), twenty-one great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Donna Lindbom, Gloria Gagliardi, and Carmen (Gagliardi) Juidici, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers George Lindbom and Glenn Lindbom, and her sister, Mary Claire Gallinger. Tragically, her daughter Linda Rose (Gagliardi) Byers passed away on the same day.
Joanne Estelle Lindbom was born in Ishpeming to Ethel and George Lindbom on March 17, 1926. She and Gigs spent the last thirty-six years making their home in Ishpeming, Michigan and St. Pete Beach, Florida. She was known by all as an extremely devoted mother, grandmother and friend, and was a dedicated and well-informed correspondent with those she loved. She enjoyed sorority with long-standing friends, and was an active participant in, and contributor to, the John D. Voelker Foundation.

A visitation is scheduled at Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, Michigan from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. A private family burial service at the Ishpeming Cemetery will be scheduled.
