Ishpeming- JoAnn Marra, age 68 longtime Ishpeming resident passed away Wednesday June 10, 2015 at her home in Ishpeming.

JoAnn was born May 24, 1947 in Ishpeming to the late Francis "Frank" & Mae (Paquette) Marra. JoAnn was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School. She worked for over 30 years for Marq-Tran as a Supervisor and Scheduler.

JoAnn was a member of the Old Fashioned Baptist Church of Ishpeming.  She enjoyed creating crafts, which are treasured and displayed in her family and friend's homes.  JoAnn also enjoyed photography and shopping.  She was a fantastic cook and baker. JoAnn was generous to many local organizations; she enjoyed the company of her good friends and spending time at the Senior Center.  JoAnn was loved and will be dearly missed by her family and her canine companion "Harley".

JoAnn is survived by 3 sisters: Jeanette (Bernie) Senske, Jackie Marra, and Cathy Marra, 2 brothers: Jim (Judy) Marra and Steve Marra all of Ishpeming, 6 nieces: Lisa Ruby, Brenda (Mark) Clements, Amy (Ed) Broxterman, Kimberly (Chad) Kakkuri, April Lawer, & Holly (Jeremy) Letson, brother-in-law Terry (Betsy) Lawer, sister-in-law Mary Paulson along with great nieces and great nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Mae Marra, husband Robert Lawer, a brother Fran Marra and her special friend and longtime companion Robert Roe.

A Memorial Service for JoAnn will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday June 15th at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Kemp officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

JoAnn's family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.

A luncheon will be held at the Old Fashioned Baptist Church 321 S. Fourth St. Ishpeming following the service.
