Jennie Marie Larson

Ishpeming – Jennie M. Larson, age 96 of 111 Bluff St. #304 Ishpeming passed away on Sunday May 6, 2007 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.

Jennie was born November 1, 1910 in Gwinn, to Matt & Amanda (Somppi) Kuivinen. She graduated from Eben High School, class of 1929. Jennie worked as a seamstress at the H.W. Gossard Company. Jennie lived in Gwinn, Eben and Sundell prior to moving to Negaunee where she resided for 37 years and most recently a resident of Ishpeming since 1993.

Jennie enjoyed flower & vegetable gardening along with cooking and baking. Jennie was a member of the Jehovah's Witness- Kingdom Hall of Ishpeming.

Jennie is survived by 2 grandchildren: David Dunquist of Ishpeming and Kathy-Kasha (Jerry) Lingnofski of Black Creek, WI, 3 grandson Steven, Ryan and Jason Dunquist, a step daughter Mary St. Aubin of Green Bay, WI, a step granddaughter Mary Myers, 2 step great grandsons and a step great great granddaughter, a sister: Sylvia Taponen of Livonia, MI, along with 4 nieces and a nephew. Jennie was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Dunquist, 2nd husband Kenneth Larson, a son Robert Dunquist, an infant son Richard and 4 brothers: Eino, Ero, Bill, and Toivo.

Funeral services will be held 6:00p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with William Hereford to officiate. Burial will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. until the time of service at 6:00p.m.
