Jean A Isaacson

Jean A Isaacson, 64, of 418 Marquette St. Ishpeming, went home to be with her Lord on, Monday, April 12th, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jean was born in Negaunee on January 15, 1946, the daughter of the late John and Effie (Kangas) Tornberg. She graduated from Ishpeming High School and worked as a seamstress at H.W. Gossard.

Jean loved the outdoors, she enjoyed flower gardening and knitting. She was a member of the Ishpeming V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Danielle (J.B.) Strange of Copperas Cove, TX;
two sons: Wesley (Tammy) Leece of Champion, MI, Jason Isaacson of Ishpeming, MI;
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Tessa & Mallory Leece, Gabriella, Dominic, Ariella & Kayla Strange, a brother, Thor (Susan) Tornberg of Ishpeming, a sister in law Nancy Wood of Ishpeming, along with several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Isaacson, a daughter: Melody Lynn Leece, a sister Rita Saari, brother John Tornberg and infant brother Thor Tornberg.


A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, April 15th, at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00pm until the time of service at 3:00pm.
