Ishpeming - Janith M. Reddy, age 80 of 255 S. Rose St., Ishpeming passed away at 9:45pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming. Janith was in the loving care of her family, Lake Superior Hospice and the wonderful caregivers and staff of the Special Needs Unit at the MCMCF at the time of her death.

Jan was born December 1, 1934 in Rewey, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Clinton and Alberta (Knebel) Warne. She grew up in southern Wisconsin and was a graduate of the Livingston High School Class of 1952. Jan married John Reddy on August 20, 1955 in Livingston, Wisconsin. Jan worked as a legal secretary while John completed his college education. They moved to Arizona when John began his professional career. The family moved to Ishpeming in 1962 and they were "home".

Jan was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Jan enjoyed cooking and baking and any type of needlework and loved to share her creations with her family and friends. Rarely idle, Jan did love to sit on the dock at camp and fish.

Survivors include her husband John Reddy of Ishpeming; 3 children--Jacqulin (David) Crimmins of Marquette, Jeffrey (Susan) of Ortonville, and Jill (John) Rytlewski of Union, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren--Bradley (Adrianne) Crimmins, Jennifer Crimmins, Alissa and Megan Reddy, Ryan and Zachary Rytlewski; great grandchildren--Samantha, Jacob, Benjamin, Garrett and Julia; sister Pamela (Robert) Day of Rewey, Wisconsin; sister-in-law Joyce Warne of Janesville, Wisconsin; brothers-in-law--Ralph (Shirley) Reddy of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, Michael Reddy of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and Stephen (Carol) Reddy of Lincoln, Nebraska. Jan is also survived by her former grandson-in-law Bradley Bazinette and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Clinton "Skip" Warne.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00pm at the church with the Rev. J.J. Mannschreck to officiate. A luncheon will be served in the church hall following the service.

The family will again greet relatives and friends from 10:00am - 11:00am on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Livingston United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00am at the church with the Rev. TyLacey Hines to officiate. A luncheon will be served in the church hall following the service.

Jan's family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of the Special Needs Unit at the MCMCF for their compassionate and loving care of Jan for the past 16 months as she battled Alzheimer's Disease. Thank you for treating Jan with dignity and surrounding her with love. We will be forever grateful.
