Obituary

Ishpeming - Janice Marie Nault, age 78, of 401 S. Camp Rd. Ishpeming, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on her travels home from her winter home in Arizona.


Janice was born on Nov. 2, 1928 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Raymond "Nebo" and Ethel (Anderson) Peterson. She was raised in Ishpeming, having graduated fro the Ishpeming High School in 1946 and worked for the H.W. Gossard Co. On Oct. 7, 1950 she married Donald Nault. Janice then worked for Gustafson's Store for a few years.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and recently received a golden link star. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Ishpeming VFW, Cams Church Group, the New York Club and the Dead River Camper's Association. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, camping and walking miles with her lady friends. Janice cherished time with her family and friends at "camp" on the Dead River Basin during the summer months and was a "snowbird" and went to Arizona in the winter. Janice will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Nault of Ishpeming, two daughters – Susan (Randy) Luoma and Beverlee (George) Goldsworthy both of Ishpeming, seven grandchildren – Dawn McGrady, Brandi (Jeff) Keenan, Jamie (Jennifer) Villeneuve, Donny (Emily) Goldsworthy, Carissa (Craig) Magnuson, Nick and Jeff Luoma, six great grandchildren – Alex & Trevor McGrady, Tyler, Dylan & Zachary Villeneuve, and Camery Magnuson. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her special dog Samantha. She was preceded in death by a grandson Ron McGrady Jr. an infant great grand son Anthony McGrady and a special cousin Gerald Anderson

Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm on Tuesday May 22, 2007 at the Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Lindenberg to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 3 until 5pm on Tuesday at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming.
