Ishpeming Twp, MI- Janet Louella Suardini, 91, longtime Ishpeming Township resident passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Marquette County Medical Care Facility.
Janet was born in Negaunee, MI on August 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Gerald and Martha (Anderson) LeBresh. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Paul's High School in Negaunee.
Janet was a homemaker and for several years worked part-time in the office at Ishpeming Township. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, cooking, and baking and making a wonderful home for her family. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all their activities and traveling to Minnesota to spend time with her family. Janet was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she taught CCD for many years and was very active in the Women's Altar Guild and Bible study groups.
Janet is survived by her husband Peter John Suardini, whom she married on February 11, 1956, five children; Teri Asiala, Peter Suardini, Dee (Tom) Villar, Gerald "JP" (Bre) Suardini, and Tony (Kelsey) Suardini, a sister Darlene Running, her grandchildren; Jessica Asiala, Brad (Kayla) Asiala, Dominic Suardini, Jason (Kristi) Villar, Kristi Villar, Bryan (Jaime) Villar, Ari Suardini, Nic Suardini, Vin Suardini, Gia Suardini, step grandchildren Petra O'Connor, Olivia O'Connor, Quin O'Connor, and Max O'Connor, great grandchildren; Oliver and Frances Villar, Owen Asiala, Brady Villar along with several nieces and nephews and special neighbors and friends.
Janet's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church where A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating.
Pallbearers will be Janet's grandchildren.
A luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
